Overview
The Nikon ECLIPSE Si is a thoughtfully designed upright biological microscope tailored for clinical, educational, and high‑throughput lab environments. Built to improve efficiency and comfort during long observation sessions, it features a low stage height and an ergonomically inclined eyepiece tube (45°) that together promote a natural posture and ease of use. A standout capability is its Light Intensity Management (LIM) system, which records preferred LED brightness for each objective and restores it automatically — reducing manual adjustment time when switching magnification. The illumination is powered by a long-lifetime, high‑luminescence white LED, while a built-in fly‑eye lens ensures even light distribution across the field. To further improve workflow, the microscope has dual-side focus knobs aligned close to the stage handle, letting users adjust focus and move the stage with one hand. The Si also has an intuitive status display for magnification and brightness, an ECO mode for automatic shut-off when idle, and a vertical stop to prevent over-focusing — all contributing to a safer, more fatigue-resistant workflow.
